FiboFilters introduces a Search filter, allowing users to search for specific items within the filtered results. This update provides a more dynamic and efficient way to refine product listings by enabling a search functionality directly within the filtered view. You can select FiboSearch Pro as the search engine.

Adding the Search filter type
To display the Search facet on the front-end:
Go to the FiboFilters Filter Builder. Click the “New Filter +” button to add a new filter. In the filter editor, select “search facet” under the data source dropdown:

If you have FiboSearch Pro installed and active on your website, there will be two search engines to choose from: the FiboSearch Pro engine and the built-in search engine:

The FiboSearch Pro engine enables you to use all FiboSearch Pro features – including synonyms, fuzzy search and many others – in the filtered products view. Read more about FiboSearch Pro here: https://fibosearch.com/.
Note:
To use FiboSearch Pro as the search engine, the following plugin versions are required:
FiboFilters >= v1.11.0
FiboSearch Pro >= v1.32.0
One thing to keep in mind is that FiboSearch facets operate independently from other FiboSearch instances on your website. For example, if a user performs a search using the FiboSearch bar in the header and presses enter, the search results page will display the results correctly. However, the FiboSearch facet on that results page will not automatically populate with the search phrase. This design allows the facet search to function as a refinement tool. Once the results page is loaded, users can use the FiboSearch facet to further narrow down their search results.
If you don’t use FiboSearch Pro on your website, you’ll still be able to create a search facet with the built-in engine.
Once selected, a new search facet will be added to the filter list:

On the front-end, the Search filter will appear as follows:

Limitations of the built-in search engine
The current version of the built-in Search filter only allows searching within product titles. Product descriptions, SKUs, and other product details are not supported for search filtering at this time.
